When we began this year, none of us ever thought we’d be here: shopping for face masks. However, while the fabric pieces may not be the most expected fashion accessory of 2020, they’re certainly turning out to be the most necessary.

Along with physical distancing, hand washing and use of hand sanitiser, protective face masks are now essential for everyone to wear when heading out and about during the COVID-19 pandemic.

I recently stepped out wearing a face mask for the first time in public, and while it took some getting used to, I certainly felt more safe and protected. So, whether you’re rocking yours on public transport, while out for a walk or when tackling the supermarket shop, I’ve found eight fabric face masks that will keep you looking chic (and feeling comfy), while you try and stop the spread of the virus.

Face the coronavirus pandemic head on and click to buy the unexpected accessory you never thought you’d need.
